Chris won a competition in 1989 to name one of Dennis The Menace's dogs. Unfortunately he was obsessed as a child with the pronouciation of the word 'gnome', and this odd combination proved successful.

His uncle, Simon Nash, is a famous architect and had a television show that used to run a series of one-hour documentaries, each focus on a different bridge he had designed.

Chris also is a fan of asparagus, sychronised swimming and Jarvis Cocker's beard.
