Ben Pook
Can be heard on: Born and raised in the unappealing neighborhood of Sutton, Ben's first introduction to music was listening to his father's Bob Marley LP. The suburban town was close enough to London for Ben to enjoy the latest delights in UK garage and the euphoric sounds of drum and bass. More recently, his taste in music has expanded to include the golden age of hip-hop, with groups such as Boogie Down Productions and A Tribe Called Quest, as well as the bassweight vibes of dubstep. However, it's the reggae flava which has remained as the number one catalyst in Ben's addiction to heavy riddims.Ben is also the news editor for the University of Surrey student newspaper, The Stag, where his articles are published fortnightly and cover all aspects of student news. Away from studying, Ben follows his dream of one day owning a hybrid shop; incorporating a record store, a coffee shop and a second hand book shop. |
