Albeit on a reduced schedule over the holidays, but technicalities are for losers.

Andy Vale is going to be bringing us back on air at 7pm TONIGHT with a Results Day Special!

Email/text/twitter the studio (details up there^^^^) telling us what you're doing, what you're looking forward to and you can even request a song. We'll give shout outs to as many of the n00bz as we can.

If you're a returning student, hi! I've learnt some new jokes over Summer, tune in and I'll tell them.

  • Officially YOUR favourite songs

It is. I got really annoyed when I was listening to Generic FM the other day who claimed to be playing "Your Favourite Songs..." and they really weren't. So I'm asking everyone what their favourite song is and why. As a result, every song I play today is someone's favourite. I've already had a good number of entries and I must say you have some good taste.

    7-9pm Tonight!

Sounds awesome! What is it?

Allow the often bearded Andy Vale to guide you through some of the grandest sounds produced by human beings. The only musical boundaries of this show are that I like it and I can fit it in the show. We delve into some of the obvious classics as well as picking up some timeless gems which you probably missed. In a matter of minutes we could go from The Original Dixieland Jazz Band in 1919 to Oasis in 1999 via Blues, Metal, Reggae, Grindcore, Country, Dub, Dance, Rock, Opera, Classical, World, Psychadelia, Punk and many of their sub-categories. Perhaps even slip in some of that wildly under-appreciated genre, Porn Groove.

I also give a lot of time to local/unsigned music and aim to get a live guest in every week. As of 29/01/09, three of my studio guests have been on Wikipedia (Martin Harley, Jeremy Warmsley and Anna Phoebe, since you ask.)

A Facebook group? Oh go on then click here.

Loads more information, including setlists, demos, some history of the show and pictures of women on my myspace.

The name? Look it up, it has cultural, broadcasting, literary and visual significance. It might make you snigger or nod your head in sage-like appreciation depending on which source you find first.
